A reflection on life, beauty, career, and becoming the woman I would look up to.
Turning 32 feels like stepping into a bit of a new chapter- not one where I have everything figured out, but one where I finally trust myself enough to enjoy the process. Over the years, I’ve learned lessons the hard way, the soft way, and sometimes in ways that took years to fully understand. Here are 32 things I’ve learned at 32! Things all about beauty, life, and career related- written for any woman who might need a reminder that she’s doing better than she thinks. I think number 32 is my favorite 🙂
1. The grass isn’t greener- it’s greener where you water it
Comparison steals joy quicker than anything. The moment you stop looking over the fence and start watering what’s right in front of you, things change. Gratitude gets louder. Progress becomes clearer. Contentment becomes possible. Career, relationships, body, everything.
2. Your routines matter more than your motivation.
Consistency builds confidence. In everything you do.
3. Anti-aging is really just “skin health.”
SPF, hydration, sleep, and stress management make the biggest difference!
4. Growth doesn’t always look like a promotion.
Sometimes it’s confidence, clarity, or a new skill that elevates you.
5. Title-chasing won’t make you fulfilled.
Impact and alignment matter more than prestige. Doing what you actually enjoy fills your cup. A bigger title means nothing if you don’t enjoy the work or the culture around you. Focus on skills, impact and alignment.
6. A well-fitted blazer can fix almost any outfit.
Confidence is sometimes as simple as feeling good in what you’re wearing. When you don’t know what to wear, throw on a blazer!
7. The people who give you constructive feedback are the ones who care.
Listen to them, even when it stings. One of the biggest lessons in your 30s is realizing that the people who offer honest feedback aren’t trying to tear you down… they’re trying to help you grow.
The people who don’t care will let you stay the same. They won’t challenge you, question you, or push you to be better. But the people who genuinely want the best for you will risk the awkwardness, the discomfort, and even your temporary frustration to tell you what you need to hear.
8. Your identity is shaped by what you do repeatedly.
If you want to become more disciplined, healthier, or confident, start by showing up for just a few minutes a day and making one small, consistent choice that moves you closer to the person you want to be.
9. Investing in skincare early pays off more than makeup ever will.
A few favorites are SPF, Vitamin C, Volufiline and a low percentage retinol. Also red light therapy!
10. The people you surround yourself with shape your future without you noticing
Your circle influences your standards, your habits, your conversations, your confidence, and your worldview.
If you spend time with people who complain, you’ll complain. If you spend time with builders, you’ll build.
Energy is contagious- so is ambition.
11. If they wanted to, they would.
Actions over words. Always.
12. Your career and your life can thrive together.
A fulfilling career doesn’t have to compete with your personal life- it can enhance it. When you set healthy boundaries, protect your time, and honor your own energy, your work becomes a source of purpose, growth, and joy, while your personal life fuels creativity, resilience, and balance. The two can work in harmony, each making the other richer and more sustainable.
13. The right partner makes life feel lighter, not heavier.
Their presence softens the hard days, steadies your heart, and reminds you that you’re not meant to carry everything alone.
14. If you want anything meaningful in life, it will require discomfort
New skills, better relationships, a healthier body, more money, self-respect…none of these come from staying where you are. They come from doing things that are unfamiliar, scary, or challenging.
Discomfort is the price you pay for a better life..
15. The gym is your best friend
The gym is part of my healthy routine. I LOVE going to the gym. Think about your future self- You go to support your well-being, not always to perfect your appearance.
16. Fit matters more than the brand.
A perfectly tailored $40 jacket will always look better than a poorly fitting designer one.
The real luxury is how your clothes sit on your body, not the label inside them. Invest in quality basics. I love timeless.
17. You’re allowed to evolve beyond who people think you are.
You’re allowed to evolve beyond who people think you are. Break the boxes they put you in. Redefine yourself as many times as you desire.
18. Rest is productive.
Burnout isn’t worth it.
19. Money is freedom, not validation.
Use it intentionally.
20. Save screenshots of moments that made you proud- not just pretty.
I turn these into vision boards!
21. You don’t need to post everything.
But really.
22. A good outfit can shift your entire energy.
Clothes are power tools. Use them to your advantage 🙂
23. Celebrate the Small Wins.
Every step forward, no matter how tiny, is progress. Recognizing your accomplishments- big or small- boosts motivation, builds confidence, and reminds you of how far you’ve come. Success isn’t just the finish line; it’s a series of wins along the way.1% better everyday.
24. Take more pictures WITH the people you love- not just of things.
You’ll want the memories later.
25. Hard conversations often lead to the deepest clarity
Ahhh. Sometimes it’s necessary. The conversations we avoid, delay, overthink, or emotionally over prepare for. But the truth is, the hardest conversations are usually the ones that create the biggest breakthroughs. Even in your career, the conversations you fear- asking for more responsibility, giving feedback, setting expectations are often the ones that move you forward the most.
Clarity doesn’t usually come from avoidance. It comes from courage, honesty, and a willingness to be uncomfortable for a moment so things can be better in the long run.
26. Lean into your strengths.
Your unique talents and perspective are your superpower. There’s no other YOU. Embracing them fully allows you to shine, inspire others, and make a bigger impact- without dimming yourself to fit someone else’s expectations. Confidence in who you are opens doors and creates opportunities for growth, connection, and success.
27. You can want a soft life and still be ambitious.
I think there’s a happy medium here.
28. Your smile is your best accessory.
Nothing brightens a face like genuine joy-
29. Compliment other women more.
There’s room for all of us.
30. Stop rushing the timeline.
Your chapter might start on a different page. The older I get, the more I’ve realized that everyone is on their own schedule, and life isn’t a race with a finish line. Your timeline is allowed to look different than the people around you. Trust the timing of your life. Everything unfolds exactly when you’re ready for it.
31. You become magnetic when you stop chasing and start attracting.
Self-worth changes everything.
32. Life gets better when you get better at loving yourself.
And that love grows when you decide you’re worthy of it- today, not someday.
