Happy Tuesday! So when I started my blog back in February I promised myself that I would always post what I felt was right at the time. I never wanted to just post my highlight reel (although that is completely okay). I wanted to be true to my readers and be relatable in any way I could. I wanted to be a light. The kind of light that I craved so badly on my darkest days. With that being said, today I originally had a post planned that had nothing to do with what I’m sharing today. Today, I want to share what’s on my mind- what’s on my heart. Something I’m learning and maybe you are too.
Let’s talk Grace- giving kindness to ourselves and others even when it’s HARD.
Hannah Mooney posted something on her instagram page a couple months back that touched my heart in so many ways about Grace and I wanted to re share it. Her words…
Let Grace fill your gaps.
This is a reminder today to let grace fill your gaps. In a time when there is so much pressure to DO more and BE more…our own inadequacies seem magnified.
‘But He answered me, ‘My grace is always more than enough for you, and my power finds its full expression through your weakness. “So I will celebrate my weaknesses, for when I’m weak I sense more deeply the mighty power of Christ living in me.” 2 corinthians 12:9 TPT
It may be hard to give grace at times…even to ourselves. But the truth of the matter is, it’s God’s grace to give. And He did so when He sent His son. Jesus died for our sins and covered our shortcomings. His power is made perfect in our weakness. The grace is already given. So receive it, today and every day, because His great love fills our many gaps.
God gave it first…so let His grace fill you. Today, I pray this reminder over your hearts as you pursue His divine call on your life.
Let grace fill your gaps.
