Where To Stay:
I stayed in the newer district of Lisbon with our group of work friends at a hotel called Corinthia Lisbon. This hotel was nice and I would recommend it if you’re wanting to stay close to the city.
I would also recommend staying in Cascais which is about a 20 min car ride from Lisbon. The town is beautiful and has a beach!
Things to Do:
Belem Tower:
Belém Tower, officially the Tower of Saint Vincent is a 16th-century fortification located in Lisbon that served as a point of embarkation and disembarkation for Portuguese explorers and as a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon
Padrão dos Descobrimentos:
This monument you will see along the river and it’s stunning and massive in size. Padrão dos Descobrimentos is a monument on the northern bank of the Tagus river estuary, in the civil parish of Santa Maria de Belém, Lisbon.
Castelo de S. Jorge:
Provides some of the most beautiful views of Lisbon! The Castelo Castle is a historic castle in the Portuguese capital of Lisbon, located in the freguesia of Santa Maria Maior.
Sail Boat Tour:
Views of Lisbon from the water- this is a MUST. The captains were extremely nice and helpful. We used Tagus Cruises and couldn’t have been more pleased with the entire sail.
Tuk Tuk Ride:
Take a tuk tuk tour around downtown Lisbon- you won’t regret it. It’s so neat and most of the drivers know a lot about the history of Lisbon and will give you guided tours while you ride.
Take a day trip to Cas Cais:
Cas Cais is like a modern beach town that I would compare to somewhere like Rosemary Beach Fl in the US. It’s gorgeous and worth the 20 min drive to see all the boats, hidden coves and get your belly full on fresh seafood!!
Places to Eat:
KOB:
If you’re looking for American food while you’re here don’t miss out on KOB! Knowledge of Beef haha.
SILK CLUB:
This is a Japanese restaurant/club. We went here the last night we were in Lisbon and had a blast! Sushi and Salmon were served- delicious!
Marisco na Praça – Marina:
If you’re going to Cas Cais you HAVE to eat here! Pick your own seafood and tell the servers how you like it cooked. It’s all fresh and tastes amazing!
