Hey ya’ll! Long time no chat! I feel like I’ve been busy busy haha. I hope all of you have started out the new year fresh- full of ambition and motivation! Tonight I want to share a few of my favorite places that I think are perfect for the winter time! Personally, I love the mountains so two destinations are mountainside and one is more coastal/beachy. Enjoy 🙂
Banff, CA
- First on the list is Banff! I would choose the mountains over the beach any day but there’s nothing like the mountains of Banff. They really are that beautiful and MASSIVE!! The town itself provides the coziest vibes and the most picturesque views! A few things to do while in Banff…
- Visit Lake Louise (In the winter time you can ice skate here)
- Go Dog Sledding (I haven’t had the opportunity to do this but I think it sounds amazing)
- Visit downtown! Banffs’ downtown area is gorgeous and worth taking time to shop/eat while you’re there.
- Soak in a hot springs
- Visit Lake Emerald and the Lodge
- Any restaurant here is amazing- it’s not super touristy like you would think- it’s quite quaint.
- Take the gondola up to Sky Bistro- Enjoy the food and views here!
Charleston, SC
2. I could talk about Charleston for days. It’s my favorite getaway! I think it’s beautiful all year round, but there’s nothing like Charleston in the winter and during Christmas time! Here’s a few things to do while you’re there!
- Visit the plantations…Any of them
- Isle of palms…Grab lunch or dinner at the Boathouse restaurant.
- Folly beach..Grab lunch or dinner at Taco Boy
- Downtown..King Street..Grab dinner at Halls Chophouse. Ya’ll don’t miss this one!
- Rent bikes- take in the scenery of the city
- Visit a church or two
- Visit Cypress Gardens for a canoe ride (The Notebook)
Park City, Utah
3. Park City is such a beautiful little town, ya’ll. If you’re looking to do some skiing this year, I would recommend Park City or Vail. I’m not an expert in snow sports so I’m not sure which is better than the other but both places are beautiful. I feel like Park city has a slower pace than Vail, Co. It reminds me of a small town in Kentucky but with mountains! It’s super colorful, modern, cozy and the perfect place to cozy up by a fire, watch movies or go out to dinner and listen to music! A few things to do while you’re there..
- Go skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, etc..
- Shopping in town! My goodness I loved shopping here haha
- Grab a coffee or hot cocoa at Atticus
- Grab dinner at Prime Steak House and Piano Bar- makes for a sweet evening!
- Take some time to relax and enjoy the scenery in this city!
