-What to wear on your first ski trip to the mountains-
Featuring a snow day here in KY- I thought it would be the BEST time to share my favorite ski suit that you should take on your first ski trip to the mountains! I’ve packed this suit on every trip to the mountains- it’s lasted me for years now! I think it’s the perfect basic suit that you can pair with so many colors!
Why I LOVE this black ski suit?
Let’s be honest, when you’re new to skiing, staying warm and comfortable is KEY. (I can’t even ski, BUT if you’re going someplace snowy etc. haha) You’ll be spending a lot of time falling (it’s part of the fun!), so you need something that’s both functional and forgiving. This ski suit is perfect for that!
- It’s waterproof and breathable: Crucial for those unexpected falls in the snow. You don’t want to get soaked and miserable.
- It’s insulated: Keeps you toasty warm even on the coldest days on the mountain. (be sure to layer underneath)
- It’s stylish: Looking cute on the slopes is half the fun! haha. At least my favorite part! This suit has a flattering fit and comes in some really cute colors. I personally settled on black so that I wouldn’t get tired of the color and can pair with bright colors if I choose!
Most importantly, it’s not too bulky or restrictive. You need to be able to move freely when you’re learning to ski OR in my case this weekend…building a snowman 🙂
Below I have all my favorite winter gear linked! ****I will say this..if you’re going somewhere really cold..like below 30’s, get yourself FLEECE lined baselayers instead of regular active wear. You will want to keep yourself extra warm if you’re outside on the slopes for hours. The Ski Suit is insulated but your fleece lined base layers will help- trust me.
