Aritzia Regal Dress: Perfect for Work!
Okay if you don’t have this dress yet- girl, you need to break down and buy it. The Aritzia Crepette fabric is soo breathable and stretchy- perfect for all year cround. It’s easy to layer with a sweater over the shoulders in the office AC if you get cold! It doesn’t cling and and it isn’t stiff. It’s perfect for transitioning into fall!
Why I love it: It looks polished enough for a client meeting but genuinely feels like wearing nothing- zero clinging, zero wrinkling. It’s not too short and it flatters your waist.

Monochrome: Flare Trousers with Bodysuit
Black cap-sleeve bodysuit + black flare trousers- both from Express.
This outfit is to DIE for. It’s super easy and flattering. I try to find trousers and stick to them, these fit like a glove and perfect for meeting days! Every pair I show in this post- I wear on repeat!
This one is for the mornings when you’re running late and need to look like you tried. Literally two pieces, same color, done. The bodysuit stays tucked perfectly all day- no shirt coming untucked, no adjusting, no thinking. The flare trouser does something really special for a petite frame too- high waisted pants with a slight flare at the hem creates the illusion of a longer leg line without any extra effort.
Express runs true to petite sizing on their trousers so this is one of the rare brands where I don’t have to size down. I’m wearing XS in both and the length hits just right at 5’2″. I’d recommend short if you want it to sit at the ankle without heels, and regular if you plan to pair with a normal pump! I’m wearing reg and wearing about a 4 inch heel!

Ahhh, I share these 2 business casual outfit combos often because I love the colors. I’m loving olive green as a shade of neutral! This is entire office outfit is AMAZON and I honestly can’t believe how good it is..hence why I share it so often! The trench coat and scarf tie the outfit together and elevates it a bit.
I’m wearing this outfit 2 different ways here- one with a satin blouse and then a knitted mock neck sweater. You can easily pair them with long sleeves! This is another go to fall business casual outfit that I’m wearing on repeat!

This midi dress has become a staple for me. It’s so breathable- genuinely one of the most comfortable pieces I own for the office. This dress is also perfect for transitioning into cooler weather! Super affordable- such a great Amazon quality find!

What’s the best dress length for petite women at work? Generally right at or just a couple inches above the knee- anything longer visually shortens the leg line on a petite frame, and anything much shorter can read too casual for most offices.
Are wrap dresses good for fall work outfits? Yes, especially in warmer fabrics like ponte knit or brushed cotton- just make sure the shoulders and waist are fitted so it doesn’t turn into a shapeless sack on a smaller frame.
Are knit dresses office-appropriate for fall? Absolutely, girl- just look for a knit with some structure to it (not too clingy or too loose) and layer with a blazer or tall boots so it doesn’t read too casual or too cozy for the office. Again, nothing too tight.
Are boots allowed at work? In most business casual offices, yes! Sleek ankle boots or knee-high boots with a low block heel read polished and professional- just steer clear of anything too chunky, too tall, or with heavy hardware if your office leans more traditional.
