Productivity can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re juggling a 9–5 in marketing, endless to-do lists, and trying to have a life outside of work. I get it, because I’m living it too. Between meetings, deadlines, and everything in between, staying productive in 2026 can feel like a constant uphill battle.
But here’s the truth: productivity doesn’t have to be complicated or exhausting. In fact, the most effective strategies are often the simplest ones.
In this guide, I’m sharing realistic, ways on how to be productive- tips that actually fit into a busy schedule- no extreme routines or unrealistic expectations. Just small, practical changes you can start using right away to get more done without burning out.

How to be productive in 2026 and feel like you have it all together!!
- Start Strong with a Morning Routine: A good morning sets the tone for the whole day! Try the Mel Robbins 5 second rule if you’re struggling with this! Mine usually includes:
- Hydration: Water first thing! I love warm lemon water first thing in the morning
- Mindfulness: A few minutes of meditation or gratitude. (I do this once I get to the office!)
- Eating a Healthy breakfast is a must. (Don’t forget your protein)
- Set Clear Goals: Knowing what you’re working towards is key. I like to pick my top three priorities each day. It helps me:
- Stay Focused: Keeps me on track.
- Track Progress: Checking things off feels so good!
- Master Time Management: Time management is everything. (This is like the make it or break it when it comes to productivity!) Here are a few tricks I use:
- Time Blocking: Scheduling specific tasks helps me focus. I time block my most important tasks in the morning!
- Two-Minute Rule: If it takes less than two minutes, do it now!
- Get Rid of Distractions: Distractions are the enemy of productivity. Here’s how I deal with them:
- Dedicated Workspace: My distraction-free zone.
- Turn my phone over..I’m constantly getting texts/email notifications and sometimes it’s better to turn my phone over to be more productive!
- Stop getting up multiple times a day and chatting. This can be done in the morning and before you go home 🙂
- Take Breaks (Seriously!): Breaks are essential! They help prevent tiredness throughout the day. I try to:
- Take Short Breaks: Get up and walk around. Grab me a coffee or a snack! If we’re not taking breaks- we can have a tendency to create burnout that’s not desired.
- Get Moving: Even a quick stretch helps.
- Reflect and Adjust: At the end of the day, I like to reflect on what worked and what didn’t. It helps me!
- Make a few quick notes about what I accomplished- go ahead and set my to do list for the next day
- Adjust Goals: If something isn’t working, I tweak my approach.
